What is Skin Tag Removal?

Removal of moles and tumors involves the traditional excision of lesions that, after dermatological evaluation, are deemed potentially dangerous to the patient's health. Lesions may also be removed for purely aesthetic reasons.
Benign moles and malignant moles
Moles can be congenital or, more commonly, appear and grow over the course of a lifetime. Each patient has their own pattern, and your dermatologist should be familiar with it and study it.
To distinguish between benign and malignant moles, it's important to remember the ABCDE rule. Thus, a mole may be malignant if it presents the following characteristics:
- A – Asymmetry
- B – Irregular edge
- C – Heterogeneous color
- D – Diameter > 6 mm
- E – Evolution with growth

Identify strange signs on the skin
We recommend monthly self-examination of your skin and, if there is a marked change in a mole or the presence of a wound that does not heal, you should make an appointment urgently.
Your dermatologist will evaluate and remove, if necessary, the suspicious lesion.
Prevention is very important since more than 90% of skin tumors can be cured if detected and treated early.

Remove moles for aesthetic reasons
If the mole is benign but causes discomfort or discomfort due to its location, size or appearance, it may also be removed.
In this case, your dermatologist will evaluate the best removal technique, so that the scar is as little visible as possible.
