Biography of Dr. Carolina Andresen
Dr. Carolina Andersen is Graduate in Medicine and Surgery for the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). During the first years of his training, he achieved 5 academic merit awards. She holds Professional License No. 53252 from Order of Physicians.
Her dedication and commitment were duly recognized, earning her an invitation to be a Guest Assistant for the Anatomy course. She began her position in her fifth and final year and held it for the following six years.
In the Specialty Access Exam, he obtained a grade of 98%.
Specific training in the area of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery began at the Vila Nova de Gaia Hospital Center. It was in 2012.
At the same time, and on a completely voluntary basis, he also worked as a Plastic Surgery assistant on the Medicine course at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences.
During the Specialization period, he completed numerous internships at national and international reference centers, including:

Dr. Carolina Andresen has a vast history of participation in specialty meetings on her resume, having attended 42 national and international courses and meetings in the field of Plastic Surgery.
In the area of research stands out for its contribution to the debate on best practices and advances in the specialty, being:
- Author of 21 works and co-author of 45 publications.
- First author of 2 articles and co-author of 5 articles published in international journals.
She was also distinguished with 6 scientific merit awards.
She was coordinator of the Plastic Surgery department at Hospital Trofa Saúde Braga Centro.
Currently, she is one of those responsible for the Breast Reconstruction area at the Vila Nova de Gaia Hospital Center.
