Biography of Dr Leonor Vasconcelos
Dr Leonor Vasconcelos specialises in Angiology and Vascular Surgery, registered at Order of Physicians with professional licence number 38337.
He graduated in Medicine from Faculty of Medical Sciences of the New University of Lisbon.
He completed his General Internship at the Hospital de São Francisco Xavier in Lisbon, and later completed his Complementary Internship in Angiology and Vascular Surgery at the Angiology and Vascular Surgery Department of the University of Lisbon. Santa Marta Hospital, She worked at a national reference centre for vascular pathology. A few years after completing her speciality, she became a Graduate Hospital Assistant.
During his training, he undertook international internships at institutions of recognised excellence, namely at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, in Paris (France), where he furthered his practice in conventional vascular surgery, and at Groningen University Hospital in Groningen (Netherlands), focusing on endovascular surgery techniques.
Currently, in his clinical practice, he is mainly dedicated to diagnosis and treatment of venous disease, with a special interest in Fleboestética area. His approach favours minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of varicose veins, as well as complementary sclerotherapy and laser treatments, which make it possible to treat venous disease effectively, with rapid recovery and excellent functional and aesthetic results.
