Biography of Dr Tatiana Carrasco

Dr Tatiana Carrasco specialises in Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy. She is registered with the Order of Physiotherapists with the number OF 2356.

It has played an outstanding role in the treatment of Lipedema, at Manual Lymphatic Drainage and pre-, intra- and post-operative rehabilitation for plastic surgery.

She has a degree in Physiotherapy from Estácio de Sá University (Brazil, 2005), where she began her comprehensive training in functional and aesthetic rehabilitation. She has a specialisation in Dermato-Functional Physiotherapy from the Gama Filho University (Brazil, 2007), an area that has consolidated its operations in oedema, scars, fibrosis, tissue remodelling and post-operative support.

Throughout her professional career, Dr Tatiana has developed a deep interest and experience in the treatment of lipedema, working on specific assessment, functional diagnosis and conservative treatment. She integrates advanced manual techniques, modern aesthetic resources and international protocols, making this pathology one of her main clinical focuses.

In 2008, she began her continuous training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, specialising in techniques applied to the post-operative period of plastic surgery, such as liposuction, abdominoplasty, liposculpture and body contouring surgery. His work aims to reduction of oedema, prevention of fibrosis, recovery of tissue mobility and optimisation of surgical results.

Always on the lookout for scientific updates, she has taken part in training courses and workshops in the areas of aesthetic apparatus, advanced technologies, fibrosis and scar treatment, cosmetology and advanced post-surgical rehabilitation, integrating current, evidence-based practices into her approach.

In 2024, he completed his training in Physiotherapy in Women's Health, with a specific focus on Urogynaecological physiotherapy, She specialised in the treatment of pelvic dysfunction, incontinence, chronic pelvic pain and pelvic floor rehabilitation. This training has broadened her ability to offer comprehensive care for women's needs at different stages of life.

In 2025, the MBA in Clinic and Consultancy Management, reinforcing its competence in structuring, managing and organising health services.
