Biography of Dr Filipa Poleri

Dr Filipa Poleri holds a Master’s degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (2012–2018). She is registered with the Medical Council under professional registration number 66265.

He completed his Specialist Training Programme in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Gaia and Espinho Local Health Unit. During his training, he undertook postgraduate courses in Breast Oncology Surgery and Hand Surgery.

He supplemented his training with international placements in the field of brachial plexus surgery in Barcelona, and a fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery at the Casa di Cura Assunzione di Maria Santissima in Rome. He also attended a number of theoretical and practical courses in various areas of cosmetic surgery.

He is a member of Portuguese Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, from the Portuguese Society for Hand Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

In the field of science, she is the lead author of three articles and co-author of a further eight, published in international journals, and has also given numerous presentations at national and international conferences and scientific meetings in the field of plastic surgery. Her career has been recognised with five awards for scientific merit.
