What are Wrinkles?
Wrinkles are one of the skin imperfections most feared by men and women because they give the face an aged and tired appearance.
These are small folds that form in the skin tissue due to the action of time or external aggressions – such as sun exposure, smoking, stress and even diet.
Wrinkles become more pronounced due to changes that occur in the different layers of the skin:
- THE epidermis (outer layer) becomes thinner, loses traction and elasticity;
- THE dermis (middle layer) reduces the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid, reducing the skin's natural hydration;
- THE subcutaneous layer (deeper) gradually loses its ability to synthesize fat.
The combination of these 3 actions leads to the appearance of unsightly lines on the face, especially in certain areas such as around the lips, in the corners of the eyes and on the forehead.
Causes
With the progressive loss of elasticity associated with aging, the skin is no longer able to return to its initial state – leaving marks, creases and depressions in the skin.
Types of Wrinkles
There are, however, different types of wrinkles and they form in different ways.
We can distinguish 2 large groups according to the process that underlies their formation:
Expression or dynamic wrinkles
They're the first to appear and result from the repeated contraction of facial muscles. This process is responsible for the formation of horizontal lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and at the outer corners of the eyes ("crow's feet").
Aging or static wrinkles
They result from the loss of skin firmness associated with aging and the action of external agents. These wrinkles are more pronounced and deeper. They frequently appear on the face, neck, and hands.
Wrinkle Treatment
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy consists of the local and superficial application of a cocktail of vitamins and minerals essential for the health and good appearance of skin tissue.
This minimally invasive technique provides lasting hydration from within, revitalizing the skin, leaving it more toned and with a healthy glow.
One of the advantages of mesotherapy is that the cocktail of substances is applied directly to the wrinkle area and precisely, enhancing the effectiveness of the product.
Mesotherapy is widely used to treat wrinkles on the face, neck, and chest. Results last between 3 and 6 months.

Filling with Fillers
Facial fillers offer a natural-looking result. They are used to fill in skin folds and treat static wrinkles caused by loss of subcutaneous volume and skin slackening.
The procedure consists of a series of local injections into the epidermis of a cocktail of substances that fill in grooves and restore volume to certain areas of the face.
The products (fillers) used for filling are safe and eliminated by the body in a progressive and natural way.
Although they depend on the substance used, the rejuvenating effects are immediately visible.
