Learn more about Laser treatment
Laser treatments are effective and can treat a wide range of conditions. At Allure Clinic, we have the technology and devices necessary to offer solutions to patients seeking treatment:
- Telangiectasias (fine capillaries visible on the surface of the skin);
- Rosacea (skin disease characterized by erythema, telangiectasia and a sensation of heat on the face);
- Angiomas (benign tumors that result from capillary dilation);
- Other vascular lesions;
- Various types of spots (lentigines, melasma);
- Acne scars;
- Tattoo removal;
- Rejuvenation (face, hands, neck, décolleté, dark circles, legs).
Laser Treatment
Laser is the acronym for LNight Amplification by Sstimulated ANDmission of Rpostponement and it is a physical process that can be explained by the principles of electromagnetic radiation.
There are several lasers and pulsed lights. The choice is made based on the problem to be treated, the patient's skin type and their expectations..
Our clinic is equipped with a state-of-the-art laser/pulsed light platform, very up-to-date, with pulsed light with a wavelength between 500-600 nm and an Nd-YAG Laser.
We also acquired the Alma Q laser platform (ND:Yag 1064 nm Q-switched), extremely versatile and innovative that works with different wavelengths, different modes and pulses and, in this way, allows to reach different targets and be used with different functionalities.
It is used to remove tattoos, eliminate pigment spots (face, décolleté, hands, legs), correct vascular lesions, and, above all, in fractional non-ablative skin rejuvenation. In the latter case, the treatment is performed in layers, from the deep dermis to the epidermis. It allows the treatment of skin imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, and photoaging, improving skin tone. Side effects are minimal, it is painless, and requires no downtime.
It also allows the realization of the carbon peeling which improves skin texture, corrects enlarged pores, scars and acne dyschromia, restoring skin integrity and luminosity.
Before and After Cases of Laser Treatment
Whether correcting blemishes, scars, vascular lesions or rejuvenation, the difference between before and after treatment photos is significant.
Treatments for Rosacea: Laser / IPL (intense pulsed light).
- Patient's age: 55 years old
- Problem: Rosacea
- Treatment: Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
- Results: Photographs before and 2 months after an IPL session
Treatment for Melasma: Laser / IPL (intense pulsed light).
- Patient's age: 36 years old
- Problem: Melasma
- Treatment: Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
- Results: Before and after photographs of two IPL sessions
Telangiectasias, unlike varicose veins, are small-caliber vessels.
They're often called "spider veins" or "rays." These small vessels are intradermal, but their purple, red, or blue color makes them very noticeable.
In this clinical case of Dr. Ana Isabel Moreira, Specialist in Dermatology and Venereology, the patient with a vascular spider on the back of the nose underwent treatment with Nd:Yag Laser (1 session).
No anesthesia, no scarring and immediate recovery.
Allure Clinic's intense pulsed light emits pulses of light between 500 and 600 mm that selectively target various skin structures.
If it acts on melanin, it allows you to eliminate blemishes, on hemoglobin it allows you to close small capillaries and treat rosacea, and the heat it emits will stimulate collagen, allowing you to rejuvenate and improve the quality of your skin.
In this case, the treatment allowed photorejuvenation of the facial skin, eliminating superficial blemishes and occluding small superficial capillaries.
Nd:Yag treatment.
- Patient age: 67 years old
- Problem: Vascular malformation of the nasal pyramid present since childhood. After assessing the extent of the lesion using MRI, treatment was initiated.
- Treatment: Nd:Yag 1064 laser
- Results: Before and after photographs of 3 sessions. The patient continues treatments in an attempt to further optimize results.
Procedure
During the diagnostic consultation, the doctor assesses your skin type and any changes present, tries to understand your expectations, and determines the best therapeutic protocol.
- 1 to 3 30-minute sessions
- In the office and without anesthesia
- A single laser session produces immediate and lasting results. Depending on the problem, and to achieve the best results, several treatments may be necessary.
Post-Treatment
Side effects are uncommon and adverse reactions, if they occur, are reversible and transient.
At the end of the treatment, you may experience heat and redness in the treated area. You should apply the cream recommended by your dermatologist to soothe, moisturize, and aid recovery.
You should avoid direct sun exposure in the days following laser treatment.

Laser Patient Testimonials
I'm 39 years old, and I've had skin spots ever since I became a mother at 30. This "pregnancy patch" persisted even after topical vitamin-based treatments. It was with Dr. Ana Moreira's Intense Pulsed Light laser treatment that I was able to restore my skin's even tone. I no longer need to wear makeup, and I feel beautiful!
Ruth Almeida
Through medical referrals, I scheduled an appointment with dermatologist Dr. Ana Moreira to evaluate my skin tags. I also shared my concerns about some sunspots on my face. After non-surgical laser treatment for spot correction and rejuvenation, I noticed that the spots became lighter, and some even disappeared! Every time I visited Allure Clinic, I felt welcomed by the entire technical team and completely confident in the doctor's work. I recommend Dr. Ana Moreira, as she is an excellent professional with expertise in harmonious facial rejuvenation and aging prevention, thus improving our self-esteem.
