Alma Q - what can this treatment do for your legs?
The health, well-being and beauty of your legs also depend on skin care.
One of the main changes in the skin of the legs is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation which can have several causes and appear after trauma, burns or be secondary to circulatory changes, such as venous insufficiency.
To the pigmentation changes are quite difficult to treat and, although macrophages phagocytose the pigment, its elimination can take a long time.
At Leg Clinic® by Allure, we have the Alma Q laser, a very versatile Nd:Yag laser that features unique technological innovations. With the Q-switched ultrashort pulses are used to emit a photoacoustic wave that selectively destroys the pigment, converting it into small particles that will later be eliminated by the immune system itself.
Another common skin change is stretch marksBy definition, stretch marks are skin grooves resulting from the breakdown of the dermal connective tissue (collagen and elastic fibers) and are usually permanent. They appear during periods of rapid growth, such as puberty and pregnancy, and occur in individuals with a genetic predisposition.
When treating stretch marks with the Alma Q laser, the aim is to produce deep heating, stimulating the production of new collagen and, in this way, improving the elasticity of the skin.
Finally, the innovative Alma Q can also eliminate small ruby angiomas which are common on the legs. They appear as red spots that can increase in size and number with aging. The 1064nm Nd:Yag laser offers a powerful non-invasive solution for treating these types of lesions, as it targets the hemoglobin found within these dilated vessels.
With this platform, we have state-of-the-art technology that will allow correct small skin defects on the legs and in this way “give shape to your dream legs”.
Procedure
During the diagnostic consultation, the doctor assesses your skin type and any changes present, tries to understand your expectations, and determines the best therapeutic protocol.
- 1 to 3 30-minute sessions;
- in the office and without anesthesia;
- A single laser session produces immediate and lasting results. Depending on the problem, and to achieve the best results, several treatments may be necessary.
Post-Treatment
Side effects are uncommon and adverse reactions, if they occur, are reversible and transient.
At the end of the treatment, you may experience heat and redness in the treated area. You should apply the cream recommended by your dermatologist to soothe, moisturize, and aid recovery.
You should avoid direct sun exposure in the days following laser treatment.
