Biography of Dr. Carmen Fortes

Nutrition and Dietetics Specialist

Graduated in Nutritional Sciences for the Faculty of Nutrition and Food of the University of Porto (FCNAUP). She holds professional license number 2745N from Order of Nutritionists.

He joined the Nutrition and Dietetics Service of Vila Nova de Gaia/Espinho Hospital Center, within the scope of complementary training for access to the order, with development of functions in the External Nutrition Consultation, Surgical Treatment of Obesity Consultation and Multidisciplinary Specialty Consultations (Multidisciplinary Assessment Consultation for Surgical Treatment of Obesity and Diabetes Education Consultation).

 

Attended scientific refresher courses, of which we highlight:

  • Intensive Clinical Nutrition Course;
  • Food Allergy Course;
  • Pediatric Nutrition Course;
  • Advanced Sports Nutrition Course.

He works professionally in the area of clinical nutrition, with a main focus on obesity treatment, weight control and lipedema.
